• Start with damp hair. Add in some hair primer, spray in thermal protectant, then add split end treatment to hair from roots to ends.
• Blow your hair out with a medium-sized round brush until dry, angling the top section of your hair toward the back.
• Create 2 ponytails. One at the top back of your head, just like Barbie’s ponytail, and one right below that. 
• Make a hole above the top ponytail holder in the hair at your scalp. Reach your fingers through the hole and pull the bottom ponytail up through the top, over the top ponytail. That should hide the bottom ponytail elastic.
• Tighten your ponies by pulling on either side of the ponytail.
• Use a fine tooth straightening comb to smooth down any flyaways with a firm hold hairspray.
• Set your hair straightener to 300• and straighten your ponytail in 1-inch sections.
• Set your curling wand to 300• with the largest barrel and curl only the end of your ponytail so that it flips out slightly.

• Start with clean dry hair. Smooth in a small amount of split end sealer avoiding the roots. Then spray in thermal protectant. Brush through and allow to dry for 2-3 minutes.
• Spray in root lifter to a few parted sections on your front sides. Brush through again and blow dry your roots back for 1 minute.
• Heat your curling wand to 300•.
• Begin with the back length. Curl hair upward in 1-2 inch sections. Work your way around the sides. 
• Curl your bangs and side pieces last. All curls should angle up and back away from the face.
• Do a few rockstar hair flips then brush your hair carefully if needed to loosen the curls into fluffy beautiful wings.
• Use a light dusting of finishing spray to set your style.

17. Loose Flowing Curls

• Work in 1-2 inch sections, wrapping hair around the wand toward the back, away from the face for each curl.
• Catch every curl and clip it up before it falls. Add each curl to the same clip until it’s full, then use another. Once all curls are clipped, let your hair cool for 30 minutes before unclipping.
• Release clips and separate curls with a wide tooth curl comb.
• Finish with a light layer of medium hold hairspray.

18. Mermaid Braid

• Heat your 1-inch  Megastar Straightener  to 300• and curl your free side pieces away from the face. Loosen curls with the curl comb and set your style with finishing spray.

• Start with damp hair. Add in thermal protectant spray. Blow dry your hair without using a round brush. Use a wide tooth comb to tame tangles.
• Spray all of the hair length with a medium hold hairspray and comb through.
• Set your curling wand to 300• with the smallest barrel. Section hair into 2 levels, top, and bottom.
• Curl the bottom section first, then curl the top.
• Pull hair into a ponytail at the top of your head but keep the roots loose so they aren’t tight to your head.
• Wrap ½ of your curls into a loose bun in one direction and secure with bobby pins. Wrap the other half in the opposite direction around the first bun and pin.
• Pull some of your curls loose around the bun.
• Finish with medium hold hairspray to set your style.

Bonus: Bubble Braid

• Start with dry hair. Smooth in some split end sealer from the roots to the ends. 
• Pull your hair into a high ponytail and use a fine tooth comb to tame any bumps or flyaways at the roots.
• Spray firm hold hairspray on the underside of your ponytail. Use a paddle brush to lightly tease the hair on the underside. Hold the end and gently pull up with the brush to add a little hidden volume.
• Take your little rubber bands and place them at 1-2 inch spaces down your ponytail.
• Starting with the top bubble, pull the section apart to make it bigger while holding the elastic right below. Repeat all the way down.
• Pull little pieces of hair out from each small elastic to wrap around and hide it. Tuck the end of the small piece into the elastic after wrapping.
• Set with a medium hold hairspray.
