Step 1 — Shampoo & Dry
Shampoo hair thoroughly to remove excess residue and prepare it for treatment.
Do not use conditioner.
Blow-dry hair until it is 100% dry.
Step 2 — Section Hair
Divide hair into four sections to help ensure even application.
Working from the nape toward the crown, take small sections at a time for thorough and even product distribution.
Step 3 — Apply
Using an applicator brush and wide-tooth comb, apply the treatment through the hair, pulling and combing it through the lengths and ends.
Avoid direct application to the scalp.
Use approximately 2–4 oz / 60–120 mL depending on hair length and thickness.
Step 4 — Process for 20–30 Minutes
Make sure each section is evenly saturated.
Leave the treatment on for 20–30 minutes.
Step 5 — Rinse 50–75%
Rinse approximately 50–75% of the product out.
Continue rinsing until the water is almost clear. Some treatment should remain in the hair before proceeding to the blow-dry step.
Step 6 — Blow-Dry
Blow-dry hair straight and smooth until it is 100% dry using a round or paddle brush.
Hair must be completely dry before using a flat iron.
Step 7 — Customize Your Finish
For maximum smoothing and a straighter-looking result, flat iron the hair in approximately 1-inch sections, working from the nape toward the crown.
Package directions recommend approximately 10–12 passes per section for the full straightening process.
Flat-Iron Temperature
Bleached, chemically treated, colored or damaged hair:
350–375°F / 175–190°C
Virgin or natural hair:
400–450°F / 200–230°C
For Wavy or Curly Hair
If your goal is smoother, less frizzy hair while maintaining more of your natural curl or wave pattern, use fewer flat-iron passes or omit the flat-iron step.
Step 8 — Post-Treatment Care
Hair may be washed immediately or within 48 hours after treatment.
Follow with a NuMe hair mask to help hydrate and condition the hair after treatment.
Maintenance
Repeat as needed based on your hair texture, condition and desired results. Package directions indicate that the treatment may be used approximately every 3 weeks to maintain results.
