• Align the barrel with the handle.
• Insert the barrel into the base and use the lock/unlock mechanism on the handle — turn to the unlock icon 🔓 to attach, then to the lock icon 🔒 until it is securely attached.
• Important: The wand has a built-in safety feature. If the barrel is not properly connected and locked, the barrel will not heat up and an error message will appear. Always ensure the barrel is connected correctly before turning the wand on.

The Octowand Base heats up quickly — typically within 30–60 seconds, depending on the temperature setting. 

Yes! The base includes a safety sensor: If a barrel isn’t locked in correctly, the base won’t heat up and will show an error message. It also has an auto shut-off feature for extra safety.
