But First, Brunch: Trendy and Insta-Worthy Hairstyles to Achieve During Mimosa Hour

Halo Braid Upgrade

A halo braid with some bling is what's in order for brunch. Whether it's flowers or metallic hair cuffs, adorning the braid(s) with something festive marks the occasion. There are tons of YouTube tutorials on halo braids so you can likely find one that demonstrates a halo for your hair and texture. We'd recommend a spritz of hairspray like our Hottie Alert Shine Spray to set the braid and its toppings before you head out the door to brunch. And NuMe has a wide range of fun, braid-ready hair accessories like these hair clips. Of course, if you've got real flowers on hand, there is no time like french toast time to show them off in your mane.

Headband Glam

Headband

Headbands are a great brunch option because you can dress them up or down, depending on the state of your mood/hair. If you're leaning toward the polished, school girl vibe, we'd recommend styling a few sections with our Classic Curling Wand Reverse, which makes for bigger waves toward the ends of strands. If you'd rather keep it as low maintenance as possible (or want to hide dirty roots), spray a little dry shampoo like our Fresh N' Fab Dry Shampoo Aerosol before pulling your hair into a low bun or pony and securing the headband.

Half Up-Half Down with a Haute Hair Knot

Half up, half down with a top knot is one way to go, but how about half up, half down style with a loose knot? This hairstyle for brunch achieves a high end look, aka Sunday brunch chic. If you don't trust your skills or hair with just creating a knot with the top section and hiding a pin to secure, The Small Things Blog created an insanely easy tutorial for creating a simple version of this look. All you need are duckbill clips, bobby pins, and texturizing spray or dry shampoo, such as our Dirty to Flirty Dry Shampoo Aerosol. If you want to start with waves before creating the knot, you can use our Classic Curling Wand with a 25mm barrel for subtle beach/brunch curls.

Triple Buns, 'Hun

If you're going to have triple the amount of mimosas, you might as well do triple the amount of buns. This hairstyle for brunch is a creative way to spice up that standard messy bun/top knot. Vlogger Pixie Late has a tutorial inspired by the three tiered bun of Star Wars: The Force Awakens character, Rey. While you're just headed out to down some pancakes, not fight evil forces in the galaxy, we still think triple buns, whether they're messy and loose, or neat and tight, are in order. Besides pins and hair elastics, we'd again recommend a good hairspray for this look and one that also adds a bit of shine, such as our Hottie Alert Shine Hairspray. If there will be ends sticking out of the buns, be sure to keep them smooth with a product like our Seal the Deal hair product.
